Major MD Drug Lab Dismantled in Joint Police–ATS Operation in Rural Jodhpur; Six Arrested
A major MD drug manufacturing lab was uncovered in Rajasthan’s Jodhpur Rural area during a joint raid by local police and Gujarat ATS. Six suspects, including mastermind Govind Singh, were arrested after chemicals used for producing synthetic drugs were seized. Authorities continue probing the wider narcotics network.
During the operation, officers recovered multiple jars filled with chemical substances believed to be used in the synthesis of MD drugs. Investigators stated that the accused routinely arrived at the isolated site under the cover of darkness, carried out the chemical processing overnight, and cleared the location before dawn to avoid detection.
The breakthrough came as Gujarat ATS intensified its search for Monu Ojha, a wanted figure in narcotics cases. While tracing associates linked to him, the agency detained several individuals in the Balotra region, whose disclosures pointed authorities toward the Soitra facility. Acting on this information, police teams conducted the raid and arrested six individuals, including alleged mastermind Govind Singh.
The operation was executed in the presence of Jodhpur Rural Superintendent of Police Narayan Togas and the District Special Team (DST). Officials confirmed that further investigation is underway to map the broader supply chain and identify additional members of the drug network believed to be operating across state lines.
The dismantling of the lab marks a major victory for law enforcement, underscoring the growing collaboration between state agencies to combat organized narcotics production in Rajasthan. Police say the case could lead to wider revelations about the flow of synthetic drugs in the region, with more arrests expected as the investigation deepens.
