Highway Crash Near Gwalior Leaves Several Bus Passengers Injured
A bus overturned on the Jhansi–Gwalior Highway near Sipri Bazar in Jhansi, injuring around six passengers. Local rescuers broke windowpanes to pull victims out before they were rushed to the hospital. Police have opened an investigation, and traffic on the busy route is being restored.
According to initial reports, the bus suddenly lost balance and flipped onto its side, trapping passengers inside. Local residents and first responders rushed to the scene, breaking the vehicle’s windowpanes to pull injured passengers to safety. Roughly half a dozen occupants suffered injuries of varying degrees and were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Police officials have launched a formal inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the accident, including whether road conditions, mechanical failure, or driver error played a role. Traffic movement on the busy highway was briefly disrupted but is gradually returning to normal as authorities clear the site and manage vehicle flow.
