Patna, August 8:
A historic moment for Bihar’s sports infrastructure is just around the corner as the state’s first world-class cricket stadium with ultra-modern facilities in Rajgir nears completion. The project has entered its final phase, and the stadium is expected to be ready by next month. Once inaugurated, it will be open for both professional matches and practice sessions.

Built to BCCI Standards

The stadium is being constructed strictly as per BCCI’s international standards, featuring a seating capacity of 40,000 spectators. Spread across 18 acres, its design meets the requirements for hosting high-profile international cricket matches.

Five-Storey Main Pavilion

The main pavilion, covering 14,295 sq. meters and spread over five floors, will include separate modern facilities for players, umpires, media personnel, and VIP guests.

State-of-the-Art Player Facilities

Players will have access to a gym, spa, laundry, physio room, and a medical center. The stadium will have 13 pitches in total — seven made with black soil from Mokama and six with red soil from Maharashtra. The black soil from Mokama, known for its higher clay content, helps produce better bounce, making the pitch more competitive and of international quality.
