Woman Dies After Falling into Boiling Sambar During Vijayawada Festival Meal Prep

A 46-year-old Chittinagar volunteer died after falling into boiling sambar while preparing a free meal during Ganesh festival celebrations in Vijayawada’s K.L. Rao Nagar.

 

A 46-year-old woman from Chittinagar died after falling into boiling sambar while helping prepare a free community meal during Ganesh festival celebrations in Vijayawada’s K.L. Rao Nagar on September 20.

The woman was volunteering for the community meal when she fell into the boiling sambar in the crowded cooking area. CCTV footage captured the moment she fell alongside another person.

Bystanders quickly pulled her out of the cooking area following the incident. She suffered severe burns and was taken to a government hospital for treatment. However, her injuries proved fatal, and she died at the hospital the next morning.

Police are investigating the death as an accidental incident and are examining the circumstances surrounding the fall. The incident has also drawn attention to the risks associated with confined cooking areas during community meal preparations.

The woman’s death came as Ganesh festival celebrations continued in the area, leaving her family and the local community grieving amid the festivities.
