Jaunpur takes the lead by achieving 100% target in the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan
The Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh stands out as the only administration in the country focused not just on creating jobs but on turning young people into successful entrepreneurs. This approach is empowering youth to build their own ventures and drive positive social change. A key pillar of this effort is the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan, which has become a game-changer for self-employment in the state. In the first seven months of FY 2025–26 alone, the scheme received 276,824 applications so far exceeding the target of 150,000. Of these, 226,511 applications were forwarded to banks, with 73,191 loan approvals already granted. So far, 71,918 young entrepreneurs have received financial support to kick-start their businesses and shape their futures.
Jaunpur has achieved first place in the state by providing 100% benefits under the scheme. District Magistrate Dr. Dinesh Chandra Singh stated that the scheme is being implemented to provide self-employment to the youth. In line with CM Yogi's vision, a special campaign is being run in the district to help youth to get in touch with banks and avail loans. For the current financial year, the district was given a target to provide loans to 2,250 youths. Against this, 6,664 applications were received in 7 months, out of which 5,410 were forwarded to banks. Loans have already been distributed to 2,256 applicants, achieving a success ratio of 100.27%. The Jaunpur DM, added that the district completed its annual target within just seven months and became the top-performing district in the state. District Lead Manager Abhay Prakash Srivastava also played a key role in this success.
Azamgarh has emerged as one of the top-performing districts under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan with an intensive local campaign guided by CM Yogi Adityanath. District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar said the district, which was ranked 25th before April 2025, has made a remarkable leap through consistent outreach and counselling efforts. Regular block-level workshops are being held where bankers and applicants interact directly in the presence of senior officials to ensure every eligible youth benefits from the scheme. As a result, Azamgarh has maintained its second position in the state for several months, including October 2025. Against a target of 2,250 loans for FY 2025–26, the district received 5,748 applications in just seven months, forwarded 4,775 to banks, and successfully disbursed 2,085 loans achieving an impressive 92.67% success rate.
The District Magistrate of Ambedkarnagar said that in line with CM Yogi Adityanath's vision, special campaigns are being conducted to connect youth with self-employment through the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan. Monthly review meetings are held with banks to immediately resolve any issues related to the scheme. As a result, Ambedkarnagar secured third place statewide. The district had a target of 1,900 loans for FY 2025–26, against which 5,021 applications were received in 7 months. Out of these, 4,176 were forwarded to banks, and loans were distributed to 1,485 applicants. Besides this, Kaushambi ranked fourth and Hardoi fifth in the state. Jhansi, Raebareli, and Bahraich also performed impressively in implementing the scheme.
