'Pappu, Tappu and Appu': Yogi Adityanath takes a dig at INDIA bloc in Bihar's Darbhanga

New Delhi:

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a sharp dig at the INDIA bloc during a public rally in Bihar’s Darbhanga on Monday saying, “You must have heard of Mahatma Gandhi’s three monkeys, but today the INDIA alliance has three new ones, Pappu, Tappu, and Appu.” He explained further, “Pappu can’t speak the truth, Tappu can’t see what’s right, and Appu can’t hear the truth.” CM Yogi said these leaders cannot see, hear, or speak about the development work done under the NDA government, so they spread misinformation instead.

‘RJD-Congress deprived the poor’

Coming down heavily on the RJD-Congress alliance, CM Yogi said that during their rule, the poor were deprived of basic necessities and welfare benefits. “When RJD ruled Bihar with Congress’ support, the poor were denied rations and government schemes. Before 2005, under Congress or RJD, if a poor person fell ill, he would die suffering there were no medical facilities,” he said.

‘Cong made Kashmir disputed, PM Modi freed it from terrorism’

The UP Chief Minister also targeted Congress over Kashmir, alleging it was their policies that made it a disputed region. “It was Congress that made Kashmir disputed. Today, under PM Modi and Amit Shah, Kashmir has been freed from terrorism,” CM Yogi said. He shared that he had read news about an actor who could visit Kashmir only after 27 years, saying, “It was Congress’ sin that Hindus had to leave Kashmir. Now, people from Mithila and Bihar can also live there peacefully.”

Yogi accuses Opposition of being ‘anti-Ram’

CM Yogi further accused the Opposition parties of being “anti-Ram” and disrespecting Hindu faith. “Congress once questioned the existence of Lord Ram and Mata Janaki. They played with people’s faith and even filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court denying their existence,” he said.

He added that RJD tried to stop the Ram Rath Yatra, and the Samajwadi Party ordered firing on Ram devotees in Ayodhya, turning the holy city red with blood. He alleged that the INDIA bloc is working to “breach Bihar’s security” by supporting the “family mafia” and inviting infiltrators.

“During RJD rule, over 70 massacres took place in Bihar. They pitted caste against caste, made daughters and traders feel unsafe, and destroyed law and order with guns and pistols,” he said adding, “These parties divide people on caste lines and weaken national security."
