According to the information available, Aditya Sharma is a student at a private school in Hiranagar. He had returned home after school and later went out in the evening to play at a location in Hiranagar. When he failed to return even after the day had passed, his family began searching for him but could not locate him.
The Sharma family then approached the police station and lodged a complaint. Based on the complaint, the police stepped up the investigation. Meanwhile, police are reportedly said to have received information that Aditya boarded a bus at around 5 pm and travelled somewhere. However, there has been no official confirmation from the police regarding this information so far. The police are therefore investigating this possibility along with all other aspects of the case.
As part of the search for Aditya, police have started examining CCTV footage from cameras installed in the surrounding areas. Late at night, police also reached the Kathua bus stand.
