Jay Ajit Pawar, a youth leader of the Nationalist Congress Party, visited the ‘Ajit Srushti’ display in Ambegaon on Tuesday, September 22, at the insistence of party workers. The display was created by local worker Yuvraj Beldare in front of his Ganesh idol as a tribute to the memories of late Ajit Pawar.
Through ‘Ajit Srushti’, the organisers have highlighted Ajit Pawar’s work and memories. While viewing the display, Jay Pawar was reminded of several memories associated with his father and became visibly emotional.
The moment became particularly emotional when an audio recording in Ajit Pawar’s voice was playing in the background. The words, “Is mother still crying? Tell her not to cry...” were heard at the display. Hearing his father’s voice, Jay Pawar became emotional and was seen wiping tears from his eyes.
Jay Pawar then performed the Ganesh aarti while still visibly moved by the memories of his father. The emotional moment was captured on camera and has since been circulated on social media.
Local office-bearers, party workers and citizens were also present on the occasion, along with Yuvraj Beldare. The ‘Ajit Srushti’ display has provided a platform during the Ganeshotsav to revisit Ajit Pawar’s work and memories, while Jay Pawar’s emotional reaction became the focal point of his visit.
