Khagaria, August 8, 2025 — In a joint operation, the Bihar Special Task Force (STF) and Khagaria district police arrested three arms traffickers from the Maheshkhunt police station area, recovering a significant haul of illegal weapons and ammunition.
The arrested accused have been identified as:

Krishna Kumar Singh, resident of Rajdhan, Maheshkhunt, Khagaria district.

Rohit Kumar alias Roshan Kumar, son of late Shankar Singh, resident of Kanhaiya Tola, Maheshkhunt, Khagaria district.

Sonu Kumar, son of Surendra Kumar Yadav, resident of Kazichak, Maheshkhunt, Khagaria district.
According to police officials, the arrests took place during a targeted raid in the Maheshkhunt area following intelligence inputs about an arms smuggling network operating in the district. The operation led to the recovery of:

2 mobile phones

2 motorcycles
A case has been registered at Maheshkhunt police station, and further investigation is underway to uncover the source of the illegal arms and the broader network involved in the trafficking.
Authorities believe the recovered firearms were intended for supply to criminal groups in the region. The STF has indicated that more arrests are likely as the probe progresses.
