Fiery Vehicle Inferno Paralyzes Traffic on NH-34 Following Yamuna Bridge Mishap

A massive fire on a timber-laden loader caused a major traffic gridlock on the NH-34 highway at the Yamuna Bridge in Hamirpur, UP. The vehicle, en route to Kanpur, was gutted by flames late at night, forcing occupants to jump for safety. Fire crews have since extinguished the blaze and are working to clear the resulting kilometers-long traffic jam.

A massive fire erupted late last night on the Yamuna Bridge in Hamirpur, Uttar Pradesh, when a loader vehicle transporting a shipment of timber to Kanpur was suddenly engulfed in flames. The incident, which occurred during the late hours of the night, triggered immediate panic among commuters and locals as the blaze rapidly spread across the vehicle. Those traveling within the loader were forced to make a harrowing escape, jumping from the moving vehicle to save their lives just moments before the fire intensified. The severity of the conflagration quickly drew a crowd, and as the vehicle sat burning in the middle of the bridge, the vital NH-34 highway was brought to a complete standstill.

The spectacle of the burning loader, framed against the dark backdrop of the bridge, was captured by several onlookers and has since circulated widely across social media platforms. The resulting traffic congestion stretched for kilometers, leaving hundreds of travelers stranded as the bridge became impassable. Local police and fire department units were dispatched to the scene immediately upon receiving the alert. Following a rigorous operation, firefighters managed to douse the flames, though the vehicle and its cargo were significantly damaged.

Law enforcement officials have since taken charge of the site to manage the aftermath and clear the charred remains of the loader. While no casualties were reported, the incident highlights the ongoing challenges of road safety and vehicle maintenance for heavy transport on major national arteries. Authorities are currently working to fully restore the flow of traffic on NH-34, ensuring that the structural integrity of the Yamuna Bridge remains uncompromised after the intense heat of the fire.
