A festive return turned into a scene of devastation in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district when a Mahindra Bolero, carrying a group of young men back from a wedding, veered off the road and plunged into the Gangnahar canal. The incident, which occurred within the jurisdictional limits of the Najibabad police station, has sent shockwaves through the local community as families grapple with the sudden loss of life and the critical condition of the survivors. Emergency responders arrived at the site to find a harrowing scene, where the vehicle’s immersion in the fast-flowing waters had already proven fatal for two of its occupants.
