Acting under the direct mandate of the District Magistrate, a special task force led by a nodal officer conducted a series of surprise inspections that resulted in the immediate sealing of several private medical establishments found to be operating in gross violation of safety and licensing protocols.

The crackdown focused heavily on high-risk zones within these facilities, leading to the closure of multiple Intensive Care Units (ICUs), Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs), and Operation Theaters (OTs). Notably, the NICU at Maa Child Care Hospital was among those shuttered after failing to meet mandated medical standards. To ensure public safety and halt further unauthorized activity, several hospitals were entirely seized and locked by the administrative team. Beyond the immediate closures, the department has served formal notices to approximately 18 other medical centers, demanding a comprehensive response to documented irregularities within a strict three-day window.

This administrative offensive marks a significant escalation in the city's efforts to regulate its private healthcare sector and eliminate "quack" clinics that jeopardize patient lives.
