A political storm has erupted after Trinamool Congress (TMC) legislator Humayun Kabir’s recent remarks triggered sharp criticism from the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha. The organisation on Saturday submitted a formal memorandum to the Prime Minister, urging immediate and stringent action against the MLA for what it described as statements capable of undermining national integrity and disturbing social harmony.

According to the memorandum, the Mahasabha accused Kabir of delivering comments that it believes amount to anti-national intent and pose a threat to India’s cultural fabric.
