Swati Maliwal 'Assault Gate' LIVE Updates: Police Collects CCTV Footage of CM's Residence; AAP's Credibility Is In Minus, Says JP Nadda

New Delhi: The political landscape has taken a sharp turn in the national capital after Aam Aadmi Party MP Swati Maliwal alleged that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's close aide Bibhav Kumar assaulted her at the CM's residence.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has cornered the AAP on the 'assault' issue. However, the Kejriwal-led party would be more worried as their own Rajya Sabha MP Maliwal has now gone all out against the party.

According to the police FIR, the former head of the Delhi Commission for Women, Swati Maliwal said that she was slapped, hit on the stomach, attacked and kicked by Bibhav Kumar at the Chief Minister's residence.

AAP leader Atishi on Friday came out in support of Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar and alleged that Swati Maliwal was the face of BJP's conspiracy and was sent to target CM Kejriwal. She further claimed that all the allegations made by Maliwal were baseless and untrue.

If this thing has been hatched by BJP then why were you moving the mic (during PC in Lucknow) from here to there? Why are you silent? What is stopping you? The culture of the Aam Aadmi Party shows that they call people to their homes and beat them up...We never spoke to her (Swati Maliwal), nor did anyone from our party speak to her. This is not how we function. We are very straightforward. Now their theft has been caught...He has no credibility, his party also has no credibility. They can stoop to any level, any allegation..."
