BMW India Announces Price Hike Across Model Range From July 1; Luxury Cars to Become Costlier
BMW Group India has announced an average price increase of up to 2 percent across its luxury vehicle range from July 1. The hike will affect both locally manufactured and imported models, including the 3 Series, X7, i7, and XM. Meanwhile, the company is offering complimentary vehicle check-ups and attractive maintenance discounts through its Summer Service Campaign 2026.
According to a report by Aaj Tak, BMW Group India President and Chief Executive Officer Hardeep Singh Brar said the decision was necessary to maintain the premium standards and quality associated with the brand. In its official announcement, the company stated that growing global challenges and the depreciation of the Indian rupee have increased operational pressures. BMW also cited a continuous rise in international logistics and transportation expenses, which has significantly increased input costs.
Several BMW models sold in India are manufactured locally at the company's Chennai production facility. These include the BMW 3 Series, 5 Series, 7 Series, X1, X3, X5, and X7. At the same time, a number of high-end vehicles, including the i7, iX, M2 Coupe, M4 Competition, and the flagship XM, are imported into India as Completely Built Units. The company clarified that the upcoming 2 percent price revision will apply uniformly across both locally produced and imported vehicle categories sold in the Indian market.
While vehicle prices are set to rise, BMW is also focusing on customer satisfaction through its Summer Service Campaign 2026. Under the initiative, customers can avail themselves of complimentary vehicle check-up services at authorized dealerships. The inspections include detailed assessments of air-conditioning filters, tyre condition, and air filters. BMW is also offering free battery health checks for its non-electric vehicle range.
One of the key highlights of the Summer Service Campaign is the combination of complimentary diagnostics and substantial discounts on selected maintenance services. Customers opting for air-conditioning fumigation services during the campaign period will receive a direct 10 percent discount. In addition, BMW is providing up to 25 percent discounts on air-conditioning repairs and related labour charges, offering significant savings for existing vehicle owners.
The announcement marks a significant development for luxury car buyers in India, as rising global costs and currency pressures continue to impact the automotive industry. With the price revision scheduled to take effect from July 1, prospective BMW customers have a limited window to purchase their preferred models at current prices, while existing owners can benefit from attractive service and maintenance offers under the company's ongoing customer support initiative.
