The redevelopment plan aims to deliver 10,000 residential units to eligible ground-floor residents residing in the area prior to 2004, with a targeted completion timeline set for March 2028. The initiative is positioned as one of the largest urban renewal projects in the country, focusing on vertical expansion and modern infrastructure to replace the existing dense settlement structure.
Under the proposed framework, each eligible household is expected to receive free housing units ranging between 350 and 500 square feet. The plan also incorporates the development of essential civic infrastructure, including schools and improved transport connectivity, to support the future residential ecosystem.
