Astera Ventures Appoints Prashant Hoskote as Non-Executive Director to Strengthen Global Hospitality Expansion Strategy
Astera Ventures has appointed Prashant Hoskote as Non-Executive Director to its Board, strengthening governance and strategic leadership during its global expansion in hospitality. Hoskote brings over 35 years of expertise in customer experience, quality leadership, and organizational excellence across banking, hospitality, and consulting sectors.
The appointment comes at a pivotal stage in the company’s expansion as it reinforces its leadership framework in the global hospitality sector. Hoskote brings more than 35 years of experience in customer experience, quality management, and organizational leadership, significantly strengthening the governance structure of Astera Ventures.
Astera Ventures is a key shareholder in Sunday Proptech, a next-generation hospitality owning and operating platform focused on building and scaling hotels under PRISM, the parent organization of OYO, Townhouse, SUNDAY, and other global hospitality brands. Sunday Proptech currently owns and operates 38 hotels across the United States and is pursuing rapid expansion across key markets, including the United States, India, and Europe. The platform integrates hospitality operations, real estate partnerships, and brand-led growth to deliver scalable, high-quality guest experiences.
Commenting on his appointment, Prashant Hoskote stated that he looks forward to enabling strong governance and providing strategic direction as Astera Ventures expands its portfolio and as Sunday Proptech advances its next phase of global hospitality growth. He emphasized that Astera Ventures plays a critical role in this journey and expressed enthusiasm for contributing at the board level.
Hoskote currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of PH Factor, a board advisory and organizational excellence consulting practice based in the National Capital Region of India. He previously held the position of President for Global Engagements at Striking Ideas. Earlier in his career, he served as Senior Director for Quality, Service Excellence, and Innovation at Max India Group. He has also held leadership roles at Mashreq Bank in Dubai, Standard Chartered Bank, and the Taj Group of Hotels. He began his professional journey with Qimpro Consultants, the Indian affiliate of Juran Institute Inc., United States of America.
He has served on the National Board for Quality Promotion at the Quality Council of India, as Vice Chair of the Quality Management Division for Asia and Australia at the American Society for Quality, and as Chairperson of its Organizational Excellence Technical Committee. He was recognized among the “50 Most Talented Quality Professionals” at the World Quality Congress in 2014. He is also a published author and an international speaker.
The appointment is expected to further reinforce Astera Ventures’ governance capabilities and strategic depth as it continues to scale its investments in the global hospitality ecosystem and strengthen its role in enabling structured growth for its portfolio companies.
