In line with the vision of the Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board announced the first ever mid-career training program for Class-One officers

  • UPPCB has tied up with the country's leading institution, Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad for the training program
  • The aim of this unprecedented initiative is to hone the expertise, leadership skills, efficiency and attitude of the officers
  • The first batch will be held in October-November 2025 and the second batch in February-March 2026

Lucknow: In compliance with the instructions of the Honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath ji, the Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) is going to organize a mid-career training program for Class-One officers for the first time in its history.

UPPCB Chairman Dr. R.P.  Singh informed that the Board has partnered with the country's leading institution, Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad, for this training program. He informed that the objective of this unprecedented initiative is to further strengthen the expertise, leadership capacity, efficiency and vision of the officers.

Mr. Singh informed that this step is in line with the priority of Hon'ble Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ji, in which special emphasis has been laid on the knowledge, skill and capacity development of the officers and employees of the state. He informed that this training program will inspire the officers to face modern challenges, adopt the latest technologies and bring more efficiency in works related to public interest. This initiative will not only give a new dimension to the working style and thinking of the officers, but will also further strengthen the efficiency, transparency and environmental management capacity of the institution.

It is noteworthy that ASCI is a prestigious institute, which trains about 4,500 civil servants and senior officials of the industrial sector every year. Through this collaboration, the officers of UPPCB will get the benefit of national and international level training methods.

This training program will be fully residential, so that the officers get a focused and intensive learning environment. Also, it has been ensured that regular work is not affected. For this, the program will be organized in two batches. The first batch will be conducted in October-November 2025 and the second batch in February-March 2026.
