CIL Pledges ₹10 Crore to Boost Tribal Education in Chhattisgarh

MoU Signed with Ministry of Tribal Affairs to Support 68 Eklavya Model Residential Schools

In a major step toward empowering tribal youth, Coal India Ltd (CIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA) to enhance education, health, and entrepreneurship in Chhattisgarh. Under its CSR initiative, CIL will provide ₹10 crore to support 68 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS), benefiting over 28,000 tribal students.

The project will be implemented by the National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSTFDC), aiming to create modern learning environments and bridge educational gaps in line with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
