The intensified actions across all platforms come after the dastardly terrorist attack in Pahalgam's Baisaran Valley, which claimed 26 lives, most of whom were tourists. Several people were left injured. Major search operations have been launched in Jammu and Kashmir and the Central Government has taken stern measures in the aftermath of the attack.

In the wake of the attack, tensions have escalated between India and Pakistan, with troops of Islamabad initiating "unprovoked" firing along the LoC, violating the ceasefire. The Indian Army has been promptly retaliating.
